Caring for your fresh cut Christmas tree

A properly cared for Christmas tree can provide several weeks of enjoyment in your home. By following the steps below, the quality of your tree can be ensured to last through the holidays.

1. When you get your tree home, make sure to cut 1/2" off the base of the tree right before you place it in its stand of water. This removes any film that might have formed over the previous cut, and will allow the tree to draw water freely.
2. Make sure the water level in the tree stand does not drop below the base of the tree. This is probably the most important thing you can do to make sure your tree lasts. We have tree watering systems & stands available in the Christmas Store.
3. Place your tree away from any heat sources in your home. A nice cool corner will be a great way to keep your tree happy.
